Element Painting Services provides residential painting to Vanderhoof and nearby surrounding areas. Emily has been painting for 18 years.

Element painting started on Vancouver Island in 2015, but Emily and her family moved to Vanderhoof summer of 2023.

Sea salt by sherwin Williams is, in my opinion, a perfect bathroom colour. Here are two bathrooms we did in this colour back in our 1910 home remodel.

Throwback to 2019 to the little purple house built in 1910 that my wife and I gutted to the studs. This colour was the Benjamin Moore colour of the year in 2017 called "shadow". It suited the house so perfectly.

Kitchen cabinet makeover! Benjamin Moore's Backwoods on the island and custom extra light green on the main cabinets. Carol at Vanderhoof Benjamin Moore is brilliant for helping pick out paint colours 👏

Here is a before and after of our 1959 kitchen. The original homeowner built wooden cabinets got a vibrant brighten up. The walls were painted as well with Benjamin Moore's Backwoods on the lower half and decorators white on the upper half. I was able to build a new island to better suit my (short wife) needs and also painted it with Backwoods.

Hi! My name is Emily and this is my wife Sarah. We moved with our family to Vanderhoof in spring of 2023 and we love it here!
I started painting in university, 20 years ago now, and never stopped. It is one of my life passions. I have been running my solo painting operation since 2015 which began on Vancouver Island. I specialize in interior and exterior residential updates, but I have done a little bit of everything. I am proficient with a sprayer and have done a lot of custom work including kitchen cabinets. I am also a very handy person, with the ability to pick up anything and learn it. I have done full blown home remodels for our personal homes. I dabble in a bit of everything! Thank you for an amazing 2025 Vanderhoof!

I am excitedly awaiting your messages and calls to estimate your painting project needs for 2026. I still have some availability in January.

This year I was able to use my paint sprayer quite a bit for ceilings, custom furniture and cabinetry projects. I also painted a number of doors and exterior trim works. To finish out 2025 I got to do a fun project with wall paper and color drenching in a deep warm brown.

More than once, I have had clients ask me if I have a ladder for that tall wall or stairwell. Please know that I do indeed! 🪜 🌟

Thank you to everyone for getting us through the dry season! We are booking into December now, might be room to fit a quick living room refresh before the Christmas Tree goes up! Send us a message to get an estimate for your winter painting projects.
