So many people have things that they are holding on to that holds a certain value to them, whether it's what they originally paid for it, perceived value or sentimental value.

But I'm going to be honest with you, it's not worth what you think it's worth. And it's most likely not worth you holding onto it, taking up space (rent free!) in your home for years to come.

Now is the time to let it go. Let it go to someone who will put it to use!

Look at this beautiful headboard. Someone probably paid good money for this. And it probably sat for years, covered in plastic, waiting for the right time, the right bedroom, and now it's on the curb with the trash.

This simple rule can really help you keep clutter at bay, especially once you have done the major work of decluttering your space and want to keep it simple and functional.

At the very least, it will get you to think twice about buying a new item, try to plan what you will get rid of before you even buy it or bring it into your space.

📦Another way to do it, is every Amazon delivery box you receive, fill it with items to donate. The bigger the box, the more you will end up getting rid of.

👑At the end of the day, these exercises will help you be more mindful about your consumption and spending habits.

If you can't already tell, I am super passionate about helping people create spaces they love and to stop spending their hard earned money on cheap junk that will inevitably end up in a landfill.

Once upon a time, I thought a rich life meant a big house and a fast car. 🏡🚗 Don't get me wrong, I still like a fast car, but I don't need it to be happy.

Now, it's all about savoring slow mornings, eating cherries straight from the tree in my cozy backyard.
