Last weekend, we had the opportunity to lead a community design charette for a local Gulf Island community centre and fire hall.

After more than 25 years since its last renovation, this much loved gathering place is ready for a thoughtful refresh, including a new kitchen, gender neutral washrooms, a dedicated accessible washroom, improved storage, and updated finishes.

From the volunteer fire department and community library to barbecues, gatherings, and the annual Christmas dinner, this building truly is the heart of the island.

We are excited to help create a more functional, accessible, and welcoming space for the community to enjoy for years to come.

One month to go until the York Brooks Design team takes on the Easter Seals Drop Zone!

On September 9, Team York Brooks Design will be rappelling in Victoria in support of Easter Seals BC/Yukon and the incredible programs they provide for children, youth, and adults with disabilities.

We are working to reach and exceed our fundraising goal of $3,000, and every donation helps support greater accessibility, independence, and opportunity within our community.

Three Incredible Years!

Serving on the Board of Directors of Craigdarroch Castle for the past three years has been an incredible experience. It was my first official board position, and I have learned so much along the way.

At last night's AGM, I was honoured to see my husband and business partner of York Brooks elected to the board. He will be a tremendous asset to the Castle, its history, and moving it forward. I cannot wait to see what he and the new board achieve.
