I’m pretty pleased with how the exterior worked out. I was able to achieve the rammed earth look, including the chamfered corners and lines using custom cut cement fibre trim and sheets and then adding a parge coating to the outside. This was the third try at getting the correct and undamaged door by my supplier. I think it needs bigger weather stripping.

Specs??!! We don’t need no stinking specs!! Has anyone heard of or seen this done before? The architect that designed the original rammed earth building I referred to stopped in today. He looked it over, asked some questions regarding steps I’ve taken and standards I’ve altered and he seemed quite impressed. My first clue came when he said “I’m quite impressed.”

After 10 years of operating in SK, having yard signs printed, holding numerous vendor accounts, business cards, WCB, liability insurance, etc all under my company name and today I’m told I have to change it because it conflicts with sure-lok homes Ltd. Lok? LOK!!??? “Lok” sure isn’t any word I’ve ever heard of. Like wtf?? I am not impressed.

Happy Canada Day everyone!!! My opinion... put the guys that are running The Milwaukee Tool Company in charge of running Canada! There are a number of reasons why not only all of my cordless tools, but most of my hand tools, bits, blades and etc are all Milwaukee. This video demonstrates a few of those reasons. The fact that these guys are not only creating new specialty tools to make tradesperson’s lives easier, but also improving upon tools they’ve already made speaks volumes. Click the link.
