✨Sally’s Mudroom ✨

This floor was definitely a challenge. The custom basketweave pattern was laid piece by piece, with every small rectangle laser cut out of 24x24 porcelain tile.

The hardest part was keeping all the lines perfectly square with this much going on in the layout. One little thing off and the whole pattern starts drifting.

Installed with Ardex X5 and finished with Ardex DG-1 White Lily grout

Natural marble penny tile is porous, which means it can absorb moisture, pigments, and minerals during installation. Pre-sealing before install helps reduce the risk of discoloration, picture framing, grout staining, and uneven absorption while making cleanup easier during grouting. Small step. Big difference!
