🎁 D&R Custom Steel Joins Feed the Need in Durham's Holiday Matching Campaign 🎁

This holiday season, D&R Custom Steel is proud to stand alongside Feed the Need in Durham as the 2025 Holiday Matching Partner, contributing $100,000 to help provide nutritious food to families, seniors, and individuals across our community.

This marks our third consecutive year partnering with Feed the Need in Durham for the holiday campaign, bringing our total contribution to $300,000 to date. Our commitment to this initiative reflects D&R’s deep belief that giving back to the community is part of building a stronger, more resilient region for everyone.

From now until December 31, 2025, every dollar donated to Feed the Need in Durham will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000, doubling the impact of every gift. This initiative means more full tables, more hope, and more support for those who need it most.

Feed the Need in Durham distributes food to over 70 community food programs across the region, ensuring that no one faces hunger alone, especially during the holidays.
At D&R, we’re honoured to continue this partnership year after year and look forward to reaching the half-million-dollar milestone in the years ahead. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

At D&R Custom Steel, we believe the future of manufacturing depends on the next generation of skilled trades professionals. That’s why we’ve built strong partnerships with local high schools, OYAP, and Ontario colleges to offer hands-on learning through co-op and apprenticeship programs.

Our apprentices work side-by-side with seasoned metal fabricators (fitters), welders, and millwrights gaining the kind of real-world experience that can’t be learned in a classroom alone. Whether it’s mastering advanced welding techniques, learning precision fabrication, or understanding the full process from design support to delivery, they’re building a strong foundation for a lifelong career.
