While we've been quiet on the Socials, we've been hard at work on our job sites.
We've upgraded this house from a basic, dated bungalow look to a modern craftsman-style exterior with strong curb appeal and a much more usable front space.
This transformation is a pretty substantial exterior upgrade—both structurally and aesthetically.
1. New Front Porch Structure
The small, basic entry was replaced with a full covered front porch.
Added exposed timber framing (posts, beams, and decorative truss), giving it a much more custom, high-end look.
The porch roof ties cleanly into the house with a larger, more defined gable.
2. Decking Upgrade
The plain concrete step was replaced with a raised PVC deck by platform for a more functional and inviting outdoor space.
3. Siding Refresh
The exterior siding was replaced with vertical board-and-batten style siding, instead of the older horizontal vinyl.
Color shifted to a more modern neutral tone.
4. Front Door & Entry
The old decorative wood door was swapped for a modern black door with glass panels for a cleaner, more contemporary look.
5. Windows
Window layout was simplified and modernized:
Left side now has a tall, narrow window.
Right side has a more streamlined window setup (less busy than before).
Overall gives better symmetry and a more updated style.
6. Lighting & Decor
Added modern wall-mounted light fixtures on either side of the door, as well as an additional hanging light fixture for an added element of lighting.
7. Roof & Trim Details
New soffit and ceiling finish under the porch with warm wood tones.
Updated trim lines and cleaner fascia details.
