Lately I've been catching up with planting the final Desert Planters in the evenings.

This was a job that started as a consultation about planting a tree and ended with no tree, and 5 new Desert Planters! (Maybe a tree later!)

These are the contour 20's in brown. They are planted with purple fountain grass, white supertunias and some trailing mint. I think they will be beautiful as they fill in.

Here is another garden bed makeover. We weeded, removed old landscape fabric, removed dead shrubs, planted new juniper, and spilt and replanted hostas. This took 3 of us 3 hours and 45 minutes.

And the owner has since mulched the bed and added irrigation with a sunrise timer. All of this should make maintenance of the bed so much easier for them!

This bed had become overcrowded. We removed the hydrangea (we didnt want to but there just wasn't room for them and the lilac.)

We also removed landscape fabric, weeds and more dead shrubs. Then a fresh planting a perennials.

This was just under 3 hours of work with 3 of us.

This morning we did a garden freshen up. When I did the quote the spirea hadn't been doing well but things sure grew sin...

This morning we did a garden freshen up. When I did the quote the spirea hadn't been doing well but things sure grew since then!

We were able to move them to another bed in the yard. I always like to reuse what we can. We also reused a hosta, daylilies and a ninebark.

Blooms of the week from my garden.

This week is an exciting week in the garden!

Highlights:
- first bloom ever on my coral peony!
- cut flower garden coming along
- first blooms on my baptisia planted last year. Loving it!
- raspberries mostly all survived the transplant.
- beans and peas are popping up and the tomatoes survived all the winds and storms somehow!
- planters are starting to fill in

Now for some weeding and planting my pond baskets!

It's very wet out there today but one thing we can still do is plant up these brand new Desert Planters! 11 new planters front and back. They are really going to unify the yard and add beauty all season!

Featured in front are the Terrace 16, 20 and 27 in tan. Backyard are the Villa 16, 20 and 24 in tan.
