I was outside filling feeders when I heard a ruckus only to see a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers very close by waiting to come in to eat. I didn’t even get to push the suet cake in all the way as I backed away to let them eat. Here we have a very disheveled, moulting Dad feeding his fledgling daughter. I wasn’t at the best angle but still what a cool sight to see! Such fascinating birds🐦‍⬛🌻🪶
