This is called the Velvet Bean aka Mucuna Pruriens. I live in zone 9, this particular variety doesn't have the itchy hairs on the bean pods. I only started this 1 plant and it has continued to grow the beans in over 20 of these clusters you see in my first pic. Florida has been raining and i have basically neglected it but it has not cared one bit. I now have enough to eat for the entire year! It is a medical plant that has to be cooked a certain way and I will only eat 2 a day on a 3 week on 3 week off cycle, it can be eaten more often and is in several countries where there is a need for food and fodder for livestock. It's a plant I will be selling seeds on etsy soon so as always...do you research before you eat and keep a log on what benifits you get from your veggies/medicinal ones especially.
*If you are on any meds please ask your Dr. If you could try it. I'm attaching a link below so you can check it out more carefully.
*If you are pregnant or breastfeeding it's not recommended.
Keep healthy and happy naturally 😊
