Im Sommer besonders schön.
Der Barkenhoff mit seiner markanten Giebelfront und der geschwungenen Freitreppe davor ist nicht zu Unrecht eines der bekanntesten Gebäude hier in Worpswede. Heinrich Vogeler baute sich das ehemals kleine Bauernhaus nach und nach zu seinem Wohn- und Atelierhaus um und schuf so für sich und seine Frau Martha eine "Insel des Schönen".
Doch die Geschichte des Hauses ist ebenso wechselhaft wie der Lebensweg seines Erbauers. Kommt und schaut Euch die aktuelle Ausstellung "Leben als Gesamtkunstwerk" - Heinrich Vogeler und Wenzel Hablik an!
Geöffnet ist täglich (auch montags!) von 10-18 Uhr.

Heißer Tipp: Am Samstag, den 2.9. um 13 Uhr führen Euch unsere Gästeführer:innen mit Schwerpunkt "Martha und Heinrich" durch den Ort. Im Rahmen der Führung geht es auch in den Barkenhoff (und ins Haus im Schluh). Meldet Euch schnell noch an!
