Some tips for power washing?
Here you go!

- Don’t underestimate the power of your pressure washer! The speed and force that make this tool useful also make it dangerous

- Don’t point the nozzle at people or animals.

- Don’t bring the nozzle closer than 1-2 feet from the item being cleaned.

- Don’t use one nozzle tip for every job. Nozzle tips are available in wide-spray fan patterns and narrow targeted streams, all in varying levels of pressure, so find the tip that’s right for your project.

- Don’t use hot water. (In most cases, you can, but there is no need.)

- Don’t use harsh chemicals, or else your landscaping may get damaged.

- Don’t pressure wash your windows. You can damage the seals under the pressure. Instead, plan to clean the windows by hand after the pressure washing is finished, or hire a great professional window cleaning company to do so. (There will be overspray from the pressure washing, so your windows will certainly need some attention.)

An elegant way to hang a pendant lamp when the wires in the ceiling are not exactly in the centre of the table.

Not a huge fan of cable channels and wire casings!

Please dont hate me for the black zip tie, it's going to be replaced soon 😁

Why is fitting a cabinet with a sink so challenging?

When you have a project like this, it may seem super easy, but you always have to plan for the worst. We thought we might run into some problems, especially since we didn’t know what was already going on under the sink.

We love challenges so we decided to go for it!

Everything seemed good! Removing the old sink was a piece of cake. Unfortunately, fitting the new one wasn't as easy as removing the old one!

First problem was that the top desk was too deep, so we had to shorten it.

Second problem was that the tiling wasn't done perfectly and the whole thing was a bit wobbly.

Additionally, the sink didn't really fit well with the drain pipe, so we had to remove it and figure out how to put those two pieces back together, well insulated against leaking.

The old plumbing didn't really fit since the new sink was now much higher and further from the wall. We were lucky that the longest pipes were a perfect fit.

We faced a couple more small challenges but eventually everything worked out!

Home project which I had in mind for a couple of weeks. I don’t remember how I got the idea to do this, but I knew it would not be so easy to find an old rusty chain. One day I had an idea to have a look around a scrapyard near Zurich where I found this beautiful piece of chain which was exactly what I was looking for. Then I just had to find nice pieces of wood matching the rest of the apartment. I turned my terrace into a workshop and drilled 35 mm holes in the corners to be able to pull the chain through. The last job was to sand down and oil the shelves into a darker color. Here is the result which is in my opinion better than I expected. What do you think?
