Interior Architecture
We are proud to be part of a remarkable journey that intertwines craftsmanship, family heritage, and innovation with Bijouterie .ch , a historic establishment that has been a symbol of horological and jewelry excellence since 1906. Our design approach, rooted in the concept of Storytecture, aims to make the history of the Michaud family visible across generations. This boutique is a journey through time, tracing the evolution of the family from the past to the future. The façade, almost intact, stands as a testament to its era, while the interior reveals the modern vision of the new generation of jewelers and watchmakers.

atelier oï x La Collection Privé Christian Dior

As designers, we approached this project with a desire to translate the House of Dior’s rich heritage into a contemporary language.

Hours of development went into creating a sustainable object for La Collection Privé Christian Dior that’s as innovative as it is sophisticated. The refillable system speaks to our commitment to longevity, while the minimalist silhouette reflects our architectural approach to design.

This is more than a home fragrance diffuser – it’s a contemporary work of art that embodies the meeting of Swiss design precision and French luxury savoir-faire.

Exclusive insight into the world of design and luxury!

Discover the creative process that starts in the heart of Switzerland in our headquartiers in La Neuveville.

Our three co-founders of atelier oï emphasized the importance of blending innovation with heritage: “We took inspiration from Dior’s aesthetic codes – flowers and cannage – but gave them our own twist. Moving from traditional wood to metal for the cannage was our way of respecting tradition while pushing boundaries.”

“As we conclude the unveiling of our first collaboration with La Collection Privé Christian Dior, we’re sharing final behind-the-scenes moments that capture the essence of this transdisciplinary journey. Bouquet Privé stands as a testament to how storytecture can bridge the worlds of fragrance and design.

The art of transforming materials is central to our storytecture approach. In our collaboration with , we embraced the challenge of reimagining the iconic cannage pattern through a transdisciplinary lens.

We innovatively translated the traditional wooden cannage into a sophisticated metal wheel, balancing precise engineering with the pattern’s delicate aesthetic. This transformation fosters a dialogue between olfactory experience and visual poetry.

Through extensive prototyping and testing, we developed a system that honors Dior’s heritage while adding a contemporary touch to home fragrance diffusion. The metallic cannage wheel serves as both a functional element and a sculptural statement, highlighting the harmony between technical innovation and aesthetic excellence.

Our transdisciplinary approach to design found a new expression in Bouquet Privé. Today, we’re excited to share exclusive behind-the-scenes content from our design process, highlighting how our team integrated various creative disciplines—from material research to olfactive design.

In our atelier, every project starts with exploring the essence and transformative potential of materials. For Bouquet Privé, we focused on how different materials could enhance the diffusion of La Collection Privé Christian Dior fragrances while embodying our signature storytecture.

The sketches and prototypes showcase the evolution of our ideas, transforming traditional design elements into contemporary luxury. Each drawing and model represents our journey to create a functional art piece that tells the story of both houses.

atelier oï x La Collection Privé Christian Dior

Today marks a pivotal moment in our transdisciplinary journey as we unveil our first collaboration with - the Bouquet Privé home fragrance diffuser. Behind the scenes, our creative process at atelier oï has always been about breaking boundaries between disciplines. This collaboration with La Collection Privé Christian Dior challenged us to merge our storytecture approach with the House’s rich heritage.

During our initial meetings, we discovered a shared passion for pushing creative boundaries while respecting tradition. Our design philosophy, rooted in material experimentation and spatial poetry, found its perfect match in Dior’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

Scenography

“The International Ceramics Exhibition Mino, Japan” is one of the 4 biggest ceramics competition in the world and held every three years in Mino region, the leading ceramic production areas in Japan with the aim of promoting further development of ceramic industry and culture through international exchange of ceramic designs and culture.

We discovered the idea that the five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water) handed down in the Eastern cultures create the world through a cycle and in relation to each other.
The minerals nourish the trees, which are burned to create pottery from the earth. This process shapes the history of human life and culture, ultimately returning to nature.

With respect for the profound relationship between “nature and the man-made” in Japanese culture, we envisioned an exhibition that embodies these cyclical elements and conveys a sense of an infinitely expanding universe.
