ASA.039 BAR PROPOSAL

A design proposal for a bar in Barcelona.

At A Space About, every project begins with a concept, a starting point to build a clear narrative and give meaning to every decision.

This proposal draws from both the everyday and the classical. From the simplicity of food, eggs, oil, texture, to the ritual of gathering around a table.

These references become a spatial language of soft geometries, repeated circular forms and warm tones. Light creates atmosphere, while the bar acts as the central element, organizing and connecting the space.

Each gesture responds to an idea, but also to an intuition. Because design is not only about function, it is about storytelling.

In the end, we are made of stories.
And this could have been one worth telling.

ASA.028_INTAMIN

Cafeteria and meeting spaces at Intamin’s headquarters, an engineering company specialized in designing amusement park rides.

Curved details, a change of color to zone the kitchen area, and curtains used to define and separate meeting spaces shape the layout, creating a flexible and functional environment that supports collaboration and informal meetings.

In this small apartment, located in a Barcelona chamfer, metallic partitions were used to divide the spaces while preserving visual continuity. The fluted glass allows natural light to flow freely, making each room feel brighter, more open, and visually larger.

A multifunctional meeting space for Intamin’s headquarters, divided by a flowing curtain. Industrial elements and warm materials create comfort, flexibility, and a sense of connection.

ASA.034_GIRONA

A second look at our project on Carrer Girona (Barcelona). A full refurbishment of a classic chamfer apartment.

Original beams and hydraulic tiles were restored, while metallic divisions, natural espiga wood floors, marbles and moldings bring back the modernist spirit of the Eixample.

Stepping inside our recently finished apartment in Rambla de Catalunya.

We kept its modernist character at the center, preserving the ceilings, the handcrafted details and the soft natural light to create a home that feels connected and inviting.

Creating Intamin’s identity through an open and multifunctional space for their new headquarters. Designed to emphasise an interconnected environment with industrial elements and social areas, focused on wellness and sustainability.

Comfort and convenience are generated through materials and textures inspired by the hospitality sector and open-space layouts, allowing for small meetings, casual encounters, and impromptu gatherings between team members.
