The Treason of the Pseudo-Intellectuals (who opt out of social engineering)
Academic philosophy professors aren't philosophers. They have no interest in grand schemes; they are not looking for objective truth. They very idea of truth is alien to these desiccated husks. Concepts such as 'profound change' and 'nobility' mean nothing to them! All tall poppies must die. The Mandarins are gardeners of horror: they cut down all beauty and leave only weeds.
Joe Dixon wrote, "Go into any university and you will find dreary professors in charge of vital departments. Who are these people? They certainly aren't Sages like Plato. They're functionaries and bureaucrats. They're salaried men. They have no great talent, no great wisdom, no great understanding, no great vision of society, the world or the universe. They're the very definition of pedestrian."
Mandarin academics are only interested in careerism ... in bureaucratic tedium and their narrow day-to-day lives. They go out of their way to be banal, anodyne and lifeless ... offensive to no one. Being ALIVE is a cardinal sin to the Mandarin undead. To be different is to be indecent to these zombies. They are more or less Ignavi and blinking Last Men, except they have square hats to show just how square they are.

Various schools of philosophy are taught, but never any effort is expended to show which philosophy is definitively the right one, which philosophy is better, more truthful and more life-affirming than the others (Truth is life-affirming). The Mandarins flee from all definitive conclusions and judgments, anything that would separate them from the amorphous herd. They are Sensing Perceiving types, the opposite of the Intuitive Judging types (the Sages). A Mandarin would stare at you in confusion if you asked them which philosophy is true, or – what is truth? Like Christ, they are mute. For Mandarins the truth is a "lifestyle choice" ... a "personal preference". Everyone picks a micro-specialization that appeals to their specific type of dullness and "gets on with it", very productively doing not much of anything at all – like hamsters on a wheel of tedium.
Accomplishments (such as they are) only serve Big Business and are not designed to improve humanity as a whole. Mandarins don't care about improving humanity – social engineering – or rather they are the worst possible type of social engineer. They turn young people away from true education by sucking all the colour and lifeblood out of it – until everything is as banal and as grey as they can contrive ... as grey as they are. The Mandarins have managed, via devious sleight of hand, to equate banality with "respectability", lifelessness with "maturity" and Mandarinism with "professionalism". Anyone not a "professional" – not a Mandarin, anyone who does not match up to the required degree of Dullness – is laughed out of court or simply glossed over as if they do not exist. The unofficial, unspoken motto of Mandarinism is "Shut up and stay inside your box!"
Academic "philosophers" – sophists – engage in 'thought signalling', but they don't actually think clearly and innovatively, using reason. Their heads are turned backwards to the past, never to the future. They are more or less historians of thought ... documenters, paper-shufflers, secretaries – in other words, all they do is document and compare the ideas of past thinkers (while often ignoring the great geniuses altogether) in a non-judgmental, relativist, saccharine way where nobody can ever be right, and nobody can ever be considered wrong. The absolute, eternal, objective Truth is beyond them.
If these "philosophers" and academics actually cared about the Truth – cared about anything at all other than their cosy lifestyles – they'd all get on board with ontological mathematics. As it is, they've completely ignored it. In fact, now we can see the true Kafkaesque horror of decentralization – academia is fundamentally anti-Statist and anarchic – what is the MECHANISM for recognising superior paradigms? There isn't one. Where is the mechanism for disseminating superior knowledge instantly throughout the entire system – to rapidly progress based on new insight? There isn't one. Academia is grid-locked and anti-dialectical. It is not a living organism; only a scrapyard of machine-parts.
Centuries could go by with an insight, a decisive breakthrough, a new important idea being completely ignored while the Mandarins fiddle around with outdated details, and brag about how "respectable" they are! Respectable to whom? The ruling establishment, the Old World Order. Mandarin pseudo-education is just another arm of Big Business, designed to churn out 'Goldilocks' employees, drudges and drones – not too smart, not too hot, not too cold, not too radical, not too 'out there'. Mandarin academics are always Pro Mundum – reactionary – traitors! They are not educators; they have DESTROYED education. There is no high-quality (Sage) education anywhere: predatory capitalism has no need for it. Education is full of Last Men, manning the production lines to manufacture more Last Men by the millions! Not the God Factory – the Last Man factory!
