How we approach technical design documentation on large-scale projects, technical documentation is not just a production phase.
It is the moment where design intent becomes coordinated, buildable and understandable for everyone involved.
For a recent project in hashtag upon Tyne, our work focused on supporting the development of clear and structured technical information during the detailed design stage — in line with the logic of RIBA Stage 4 and the execution-driven standards we apply across our Swiss projects.
At this stage, every drawing needs to do more than look correct.
It must help people make decisions.
It must reduce ambiguity.
It must support coordination between architecture, structure, MEP, suppliers and site teams.
And above all, it must be usable by those who will carry the project forward.
Our role is to bring clarity into complexity.
From technical drawings and BIM coordination to setting-out information, ceiling plans, interfaces, junction details, material coordination and construction-ready documentation, we work with one objective: making the next stage of the project smoother, clearer and better controlled.
Because on complex projects, quality is rarely the result of one big decision.
It comes from hundreds of small technical decisions, prepared with care, checked with rigour and communicated clearly.
This is the standard we aim to bring to every project we support.
