Our project, the Lucky Cookies Bakery in Longfu Temple area, Beijing. The 37㎡ site with its 1:2 bottom to height ratio and the tall glass façade make the site a natural display window. Utilizing both interior and exterior patio seating areas, we design a series of isomorphic "rocks" scattered around both inside and outside the store, each carrying a function such as machine room, cooking table, cashier desk, display stand, bench, light box signage, etc. They help to weaken the boundaries of the store by visually and spatially connecting across the site border, allowing the space to “flow” in and out freely, eliminating the sense of restraint caused by the small area.
