The Jin’Teng Award is one of the most prestigious and influential architectural and interior design awards in the world, celebrating excellence in architecture and interior design on a global scale. This year, the Jin’Teng Award honored Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS Design and Research as the first Thai firm to receive the award. Renowned Thai architects Professor Jenchieh Hung and Professor Kulthida Songkittipakdee were recognized as 2026 laureates for their project, Forest Villa. Sakarn Saensopa, Commercial Consul of the Royal Thai Consulate-General Shanghai, represented Thailand and received the award on stage.
The project was celebrated for its innovative design and sustainable approach to architecture. Their work centers on creating environments that foster human well-being while remaining in harmony with both the natural world and the social context in which they exist. With a strong commitment to material honesty, contextual sensitivity, and environmental harmony, Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS Design and Research envisions architecture that coexists with nature rather than depleting it.
