Home Development Center (CDC) - commune 8, Municipality of (Santander - Colombia).
The CDC, are projects that seek to articulate the actions of appropriation of information and knowledge, as a process of construction of public policies, where it is sought that decision-making be aimed at promoting, guaranteeing and restoring the rights of citizens, according to your needs and expectations.
The social inequality in Colombia, generates that an important percentage of the population is in condition of vulnerability. This scenario, as a result of low wages, gives rise to social groups: poor and rich. Other factors such as the increase in taxes reduce savings capacity, productive investment and economic growth. All these situations foster social tension, which in turn affects the opportunities that citizens can access. This problem allows the proposal of architectural proposals aimed at generating social transformation, as is the case of the Community Development Centers, which favor the integral development of the population settled in priority attention areas; Promoting the construction of citizenship, with emphasis on knowledge and exercise of citizen rights, privileging social and collective benefit.
