For the first time that we are aware of, AR technology has been used in the theater play called "Legacy" by the troupe "Drž'- ne daj".
This theatrical performance shows how capitalism and greed that are spread widely in the global society, can lead to catastrophic state of the environment.
Is the human race sufficiently aware of that and are we able to stop this?
The play manifests this idea using live paintings. One of the paintings is the audience itself, which is reflected in the mirror. By the end of the play, as an addition to a real mirror image, audience is completely covered with its own AR virtual garbage. All this happens as the clock of the apocalypse, which is also presented in AR, beats the last seconds to the end of the world.
AR technology is used here to show the main message of the play, the one that we may not be completely aware of in everyday life: we are slowly but steadily turning our planet into garbage, pushing towards the point where we will not see each other from that same garbage and finally will become the same ourselves.
