The architectural firm “Lazarou – Michael, Partners Architects” was founded in 1996 by the architects Lazarou Lazaros and Michail Michalis. Since then, the firm has grown rapidly and it has incorporated the characteristics that the senior partners had envisioned back in 1996. The basis of the firm’s character and its uniqueness for that matter, is the multilevel interaction of the two schools of thoughts, the senior partners represent. Mr Lazarou, a graduate from IUAV, University institute of Venice is the “representative” of the European school of thought while Mr Michail, an alumni of the University of Wisconsin graduate school, contributes the new world approach to architecture. Within the firm, in all levels of staff, creativity and innovativeness is cultivated and actively pursued. Depending on the project at hand, teams are formed, none the less there is also a high degree of specialization for each employees duties. Last but not least our firm is characterized by its heavy investment in technology. The firm implements the very latest CAD/maya software and all information is processed and archived electronically. Over the years the firm has accumulated a lot of experience on a wide spectrum of architectural typologies. The well established architectural ethos of the company commands that all projects be treated in the client’s best interest. Small or large, with low or high budget, projects are always approached with the outmost seriousness and care. The priority of the firm is to produce architecture regardless of size, budget, usage etc. During the years the company has been involved in a variety of building typologies. A great part of the work involves residential buildings from large condominiums to multi million euro Villas. Another sector the company has gained valuable tecnoeconomical expertise (something that is reflected in the design as well) is the commercial building design. Shops, office spaces, restaurants make up a large part of the Portfolio but if there is one commercial sector that can be characterized as the speciality of the company that’s none other than the large super stores. Commercial spaces of 10.000 sm+ have been a major activity over the years. It is in fact this activity that allowed the firm to expand beyond national limits and into international endeavors with projects in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and other Balkan countries. Other types of building that have been successfully completed are Public and Historical building while, frequently enough, the firm undertake design renovations.
