Your spark plugs can talk to you! 😮 Learning to “read” your status helps you spot engine problems before they become serious. Here I explain to you each of the conditions:



1️⃣ Normal use
✨ Spark plug in good condition. Light brown or greyish electrode and insulator.
📌 It means that the combustion is adequate and the engine is running efficiently.



2️⃣ ash type residue

📌 It usually indicates that the fuel contains additives or that there is a slight oil consumption. It's not serious, but it requires periodic review.



3️⃣ Deposits of coal
⚫ black Spark plug and clay cover.
📌 This indicates a very rich air/fuel mixture (excess gasoline) or a dirty air filter. It may cause ignition failures.



4️⃣ Burned oil

📌 The combustion is too hot. It may be due to poor mixing, pre-ignition, or cooling problems. It requires immediate attention!



6️⃣ Extreme wear and tear
💀 Erosed or melted electrode.
📌 It has been used beyond its useful life or has been exposed to very severe conditions. This can cause loss of power, failure and damage to the engine.



🔍 Expert tip:
Check your spark plugs every 20,000 to 30,000 km, or as indicated by the manufacturer. Keeping them in good shape is key to performance, fuel consumption, and engine lifespan. 💡
