Pierre Jorge Gonzalez Judith Haase AAS

Pierre Jorge Gonzalez Judith Haase AAS Architecture Founded in 1999, Pierre Jorge Gonzalez and Judith Haase opened their architectural firm in Berlin and Paris.

The principal practices are architecture, scenography and lighting. In New York working with Richard Gluckman and Robert Wilson for his Watermill Center provided first occasions to consider ways of presenting art through architecture. The interaction of lighting and architecture remains a primary focus for the conception of spatial contexts for art and art-related activities. The atelier has a wel

l noted reputation for its involvement with contemporary artists, curators, or collectors to create the appropriate space to feature an artwork, a luxury product or a body for a performance. Examples include the well known Gallery Nordenhake in Berlin which has become a new model for gallery design, or the Andreas Murkudis Stores.

Bauhaus Dessau 100 years
Glas Beton Metall

Exhibition design, lighting, graphic design of the metal part.

Curators Torsten Blume, Dr Andreas Butter,

exhibition Glas Beton Metall
28 March 2026 to 10 January 2027
Walter Gropius Bauhaus building
Gropiusallee 38
06846 Dessau-Roßlau, Germany

Exhibition design for the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus in Dessau. At its core is a structural “beam” — a thin metal grid that rearticulates Bauhaus principles, merging material and function.
Made of welded metal wires, the structure is both strong and nearly immaterial. It acts as the exhibition’s backbone, transforming through bending and modular assembly into displays, partitions, and supports for works from the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau.
Stacked into central islands, the modules create scenographic moments that guide visitors. Vertically, the grid filters daylight and carries texts and images, while recycled acrylic elements protect the objects. Hands-on areas invite interaction. Light ultimately defines the exhibition, unifying the space and echoing the Bauhaus emphasis on natural illumination, subtly modulated by the metal grid.
