Great success at 5th Chengdu Design and Creativity Week. Thanks to the support of Golden Panda Design Award Team we have received excellent feedback on our project G-ROAD.com for a green and healthy Silk Road. Stay tuned for future developments.

G-ROAD.com travelled to the Design Week Mexico. Powered by Hochschule Anhalt and Golden Panda Design Awards 15 green and healthy projects for a sustainable Silk Road are presented until end of November.

“The Wall is Now Green!”

Instead of multiple print-outs and temporary posters, we decorate the empty wall into a “Green wall” made of 6 types of Postcards presenting G-Road & 1G to 5G.

The idea is to reuse all the postcards after the exhibition for distribution, to create minimal-waste. Besides, our guest can directly pick up their postcards from the wall too! Ecological & economic sustainability can be attained in a way as simple as that.

Many thanks to all our guests, staff our families and friends. Without any of you, the G-Road Show would not be a success!

G–Street Libraries / Damascus, Syria

G–Street Libraries empower free education. As information is definitely vital for the future of the G-ROAD, G-Street Libraries are made for free reading and cultural exchange. There are built out of recycled bricks available in Syria. The unique beehive shaped form is inspired by the traditional Syrian house in ancient dwellings with an evidence of going back more than 5,000 years.

Golden Panda Waterwheel / Chuan Xi, China

Golden Panda Waterwheel uses vernacular architecture to emerge in community interaction. In an abundant area with plenty of remaining local qualities, it forms an independent cultural reanimation that suits local nature and avoids the cause of negative effects on the environment. The wheel is a combination of a modular power plant and a kinetic gym in order to generate energy for their utilizers out of a green and healthy perspective.

G–Shell / Jiayuguan, China

G-Shell is a modular pod encountering soil erosion and increasing the efficiency of revegetation. It is inspired by the natural form of sand dunes shaped by the wind. The inner space is sheltered and provides suitable conditions for replantation. As the structure and shell are 3D-printed with sand and salt, G-Shell fabricates ‘well’ and ‘dwell’ with the resources available locally.
