AS+P auf der MIPIM 2026 im Panel der Wirtschaftsförderung Frankfurt/RheinMain

Neben dem neuen „Stadtteil der Quartiere“, der von Marcus Gwechenberger vorgestellt wurde und bei dem AS+P die Voruntersuchung durchführte, präsentierten verschiedene Projektentwickler aktuelle Projekte.

Martin Teigeler, Geschäftsführender Partner bei AS+P, und der einzige Architekt in der Runde, erläuterte zusammen mit Frank Junker (Geschäftsführer der ABG) die gemeinsamen Großprojekte „Hilgenfeld“ mit rund 850 Wohneinheiten (WE) und „Kaiserviertel“ mit rund 1200 WE. Zudem ging Teigeler auf das Konversionsprojekt „Oskar Sommer Straße“ des Bauherrn Aldi Süd ein, bei dem ein Bürogebäude in Wohnraum umgewandelt wird.

AS+P ist stolz darauf, maßgeblich an vier von insgesamt sieben vorgestellten Projekten beteiligt zu sein.

MIPIM Panel on Residential Development in Frankfurt

AS+P will once again be represented at this year's MIPIM 2026 in Cannes at the Frankfurt Rhine-Main joint stand of the Wirtschaftsförderung Frankfurt GmbH.

On Tuesday, 10th of March, Martin Teigeler, Managing Partner at AS+P in charge of architecture with a focus on residential and revitalisation developments - among other topics- will take part in a high-profile panel discussion from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m..

Together with City Councillor Prof. Dr. Marcus Gwechenberger, Head of Frankfurt's Planning Department, and other investors, he will discuss the topic: "A new district is arising – how Frankfurt am Main manages the demand for housing".

As urban challenges grow more complex, integrated planning, resilient infrastructure and people-centred design are the focus of sustainable and visionary development. Urban transformation needs courage, long-term thinking and collaboration across sectors.

At MIPIM 2026, AS+P will contribute to the dialogue on sustainable housing models and integrated city development. We are looking forward to great networking and meaningful discussions about how to create resilient, integrated and economically viable urban environments – places to be.

We are grateful and honoured that Andrea Pavia, Senior Associate Urban Planner at AS+P Albert Speer + Partner GmbH, was invited to speak at the Saudi Architecture Program panel during the Regional and City Development Authorities Forum on 8 December 2025 in Dammam. With more than two decades of international experience in urban planning and urban design, an academic background from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and professional positions in Los Angeles, Boston, Cambridge and Frankfurt, he is recognised as a leading expert in his field.

During the panel, international specialists as well as representatives from the Development Authorities Support Center (DASC) | مركز دعم هيئات التطوير) https://www.dasc.gov.sa and the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing (MOMAH) https://momah.gov.sa/en discussed the future of Saudi architecture and its implementation in contemporary cities. The session took place as part of one of the most significant national forums on urban and regional development in Saudi Arabia, held under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Nayef.

The discussion addressed key topics, including:
- Development of the Saudi Architectural Design Guidelines
- Global best practices in architecture and urban design
- Impacts of architectural implementation during operational phases
- Stages of urban performance development
- Challenges and potential improvements

RUA AlHaram AlMakki, a PIF company and the master developer of the King Salman Gate destination in the Holy City of Makkah is a landmark mixed-use development that aims to combine the rich heritage of Makkah and AlMasjid AlHaram with integrated urban development concepts to meet the demands of ever-growing visitors pilgrimage numbers and thus strengthen Makkah's role as a spiritual capital.

Spanning up to 964K square meter of total land area adjacent to AlMasjid AlHaram, the project includes indoor prayer halls and outdoor prayer courtyards with a capacity of around 900,000 praying spaces.

Following an international design competition with globally leading consultants in 2023, where AS+P Albert Speer + Partner GmbH emerged as the 1st prize winner, the RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company, the master developer, awarded AS+P International Design LLC (AS+P) and its partnering company Buro Happold Saudi Engineering Consultancy LLC with the development of the Pre-Concept and Concept Master Plan for King Salman Gate in May 2024.

🔍 Your tasks
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with Saudi regulations
