Got excited and brought one of these, definitely shocked by how the productivity increases, looking forward to getting through contracts a lot quicker with this guy.

A few years ago we did a pruning contract, normal deadwood and canopy care. A few trees presented extreme dieback and other indications of problems that will happen due to biomechanics. So it can be felled or it can be told off and left to disintegrate into the wind, we took option B and gave this good sized beech a radical haircut. The tree is located in Colditz and when I went on a tour when I first moved to the area I looked into the garden and thought how awesome the trees were and wondered how much hope it gave to people imprisoned. Roll on a few years and the health and safety people won’t be delighted to tick a box but I’m happy a monument can stand for another life time.

Recently got interviewed by a newspaper. came to a job a few weeks ago to discuss many aspects of what it is to be a arborist. There were actually some good questions and some thought provoking topics discussed. Definitely weird to ask yourself how you would describe aspects of what we do.

Well I think the felling season is over, as always started January relaxed and working through the jobs and middle of Febuary and it exploded. This oak was removed because the tree started to lean and show cracks on the stem.

ATTENTION. what does everyone like to see on the arborist pages? Any recommendations on what you would like to see or what you would like to know. This is a picture from last weeks -10 days clearing a hillside of small trees for a wall inspection and to make sure the growth doesn’t get out of control.

Another problematic job is done, medium oaks between a river and houses with limited access. The job was definitely possible without the crane but to be more efficient it was the way to go. All cut cleaned and stacked in two days. Lovely stuff.

Well it’s a busy summer and to imagine I’d write posts about what I’m doing is crazy when I’d rather get on with it so now while preparing for the fell season and starting some new projects I thought I’d spam people with pictures to show that we do not sit about with a Cuba libre and falafel.

Been busy doing pruning contracts this week but we used a work platform so the pictures weren’t as good as this felling we did (in the season, calm down) because I use these platforms to refresh my website it’s all about attention.

The end of February means the felling season is over, it does however not mean you can’t fell trees, lots of cleaning to be done in the next weeks and lots of projects to be started but in answer to what do we do outside the fell season my answer is always the same ’treework`
