Taking Anna Ivanova’s wonderful class for dancers in watercolor and this is my tango dancer — full of bold colors and fiery energy! The big challenge for me was working really wet — wetting both the back and the front of the paper to get really soft transistions.
Also I used the “wrong” paper (Arches instead of Hahnemühle), and every cotton paper truly behaves differently…But despite that, I enjoyed the process!

Do you know the Japanese snow fairy? This little bird is incredibly cute and unbelievably fluffy - I just had to paint him again. There’s something so joyful about bringing this tiny ball of fluff to life in watercolor.

These graceful swans were swimming along the coastline during my peaceful walk at the Ostsee Steilküste.
There’s something so elegant and serene about them.
The soft sound of waves, the gentle floating of two swans… it was pure tranquility.
Did you know they often mate for life and stay together forever?
What a beautiful reminder of lasting partnership and quiet grace.

Dancing between the stars.

Ballet is such a mesmerizing art form, which is probably why I find it so incredibly fun to paint ballerinas. Add in my love for stargazing, and you get this piece! Combining these two kinds of magic in watercolor was such a joy.

Slowing down.
Following up on my recent painting process video! Videos are a lot of fun, but sometimes it’s just nice to pause and take in the artwork at your own pace. Here is the finished piece, along with a few close-ups so you can really see the textures and the shadows I loved painting so much. Quick live pet sketches from the Leipzig Book Fair and the dog fair in Hamburg 🐾❤️
Each one captured in just about 10-15 minutes with watercolor and a lot of love. Handing these little portraits over and seeing pure happiness — or even happy sad tears — in people’s eyes is such a gift. What a beautiful privilege it is to share my passion and spread joy through these small watercolor works.

Painting my dream trip until I can finally go.

Last year, I planned a trip to Japan, but life happened (like finding a new home!), and I had to postpone. Since I couldn't be there in person, my landscape paintings have become an expression of my longing.

At the Leipziger Buchmesse, I got to share this passion with so many of you. It brings me unbelievable joy to see people connect with my art so deeply that they decide to take a print home with them.

Thank you for making this longing feel a little more like a shared dream. Have you been to Japan or want to go?

Part of my usual morning routine at home is, to get a cup of tea (usually green), sit in the window with my cat, breathe in some fresh air and try to be present. Present & grateful. I give thanks for another day and ask for guidance, that everything I do might be lead by love. Some days I drift into all my to do's right away and get stressed and sometimes it is a peaceful time. Either way I am very happy with my current routine.

I love that you cannot rush tea. And I deeply value these morning moments. Tea always gives me comfort.

Let's celebrate our wonderful four legged companions - dogs in this case! This saturday I will be at offering quick sketches of dogs, each painted with watercolor in 10-12min. I can either take a photo of your dog on location or you can send me your favorite photo. I'm really looking forward to this weekend and sharing my passion for art and animals with lot's of dog lovers and owners.
