A few weeks ago the future day took place here in Germany. This day is all about bringing students closer to different professions.

No space left in your Workshop? Too much dust for a 3D Printer? My solution: an Ikea Malm chest of drawers.
I got two used ones for cheap for my workshop. In one of them I replaced the upper two drawers with some folding doors.

Ich habe mir zwei günstige gebrauchte für meine Werkstatt ergattern können. In der einen Komode habe ich die obersten zwei Schubladen durch zwei Klapptüren ersetzt.

I made a plywood box for my old H0 model railroad. The top is flipable so that the rails can be stored within the box without disassemble them.

You maybe wondering why I did not post any video the past few months. Beside family and changing my job, it is because I try to finish a long term project this summer. A traditional German timber frame garden shed. I started it two year ago. I build the timber frame and my father in law will help me laying the bricks between. It will still need a lot of Saturdays to finish the timbers. Unfortunately there will be no video of the full build. But I have some photos, time lapses and will make some clips the next time. So there will be an overview video.

Today was a blast. I was at the Maker Faire in Hanover, Germany! It was awesome because of all the cool stuff like drones, 3D printer, robots, but mainly because of the conversations with Rob from Rob's Woodshop (and wife) and Laura Kampf. I really enjoyed the time! Thank you, guys!
