Unexpected beauty! Well, all who are a little closer with features of Sulcorebutias know how variable they can be, in plants of the same locality you can find items with different colours in flowers as well as in spines. Sulcorebutia callecallensis usually does have bicoloured flowers mainly combinations of yellow and red or orange-red. Some pure yellow clones exist, but look at this picture, it is the original colour I took with my cellphone camera today, no manipulation with photoshop. The flower is nearly bicoloured, with a little orange-red centre, I was very much surprised when I saw them today among the 'normal' bicoloured. Even for me around with so many flowering Sulcorebutias, a big surprise!

Just a short note to let you know, that I have added the Gymnocalycium ex IB collection, shown on the previously posted pictures, to the webshop. Please notice the pictures in the webshop are from long time ago and not from now. If you placed an order, I will take a picture of you selection and if some items are not what you wanted, there will be no problem to reject them from your order or exchange them to others. If therer is more space on the benches soon, I will prepare more items ex IB collection. Next selection will be G saglionis mature plants. Many regards Ingo Breuer

This lot of 64 G. castellanosii and its varieties will be the last one of the first run of a couple to come. Conditions are the same as for the others, minimum bid per plant is €15. Next weekend I will have them all added to the webshop, but the pictures in the shop are not from my collection plants. Soon more! Have a nice time, spring is coming now, G. bruchii and relatives are starting with showing the flower buds!

Another lot of IB collection plants for sale. This lot of collectors wanted items contains 120 G. bodenbenderianum and its varieties. A list on request. These items are also for minimum bid €15 each. After 20th March they will be added to the webshop. All plants are in a 9 cm pot and age is also 10-20 years (some are even older). Soon more! Many regards, Ingo Breuer

'It's time to say good by'! Well, it is the truth, but all things become to an end! I have grown cacti and succulents since 60 years, and I am thinking that I should start to reduce the number of plants that I maintain for so many years, before I am getting to old for keeping them in good condition. For sure this will take some years to realize this job, but I am optimistically that it will work. I am starting with my private Gymnocalycium collection, and first I will start with a selection of some requested items. Before I will add these items to the webshop I will give interested collectors the possibility to do a 'wholesale' of them. First I offer 2 lots (see pictures): The first one is a lot of 84 G. speggazzinii, 2 of each collection number and the second lot is G. cardenasianum 48 plants, 2 of each collection number as well. All items are between 10 and 25 years, the pot size on the pictures is 9 cm. Unfortunately I cannot mail them outside EU, because to prepare them for a phytosanitary certificate causes very much work (but if you are willing to pay for it, we can try). If you are interested give me a bid for them, because this should be a kind of auction. The minimum bid is €15 per item. For a list with the data of the plants email me to [email protected]. New order was made in sales area including an inventory of Gymnocalycium, Haworthia, Lithops and Sulcorebutia. For those customers who don't like to check the webshop, I attached an Excel sheet with the stock in the same order as listed in the shop. Maybe there are some items you are interested in. Pictures are only in the webshop available, but if there are items you wanted to see how they look, I can support with a picture of your selection on request. New plants are added to the webshop. Mainly many new seedgrown Haworthias as well as propagation from my private collection. There is also a new category with Haworthia hybrids, about 100 new one are added, all with pictures. See some samples below. Take a look and enjoy!

Well, I thought there are no more surprises with nice flowers, because the season is over, but I was wrong. Likely I went in the greenhouse, although there was not much sunshine, but it was quite warm and I saw an orange-yellow field with many flowers from plants of Lobivia amblayensis var. albispina, WR237, from S of Amblayo. These are many years old seedling raised from seeds from original Walter Rausch plants. The plants look quite unique, but the flowers show some variation in a beautiful color, which is my favorite color! But I found several more items with nice flowers, which are worthwhile to take a picture and show you! And even a simple Mammilaria prolifera impresses you with red fruits all over the plants! Enjoy and I am waiting for more surprises!

There are still remarkable Sulcorebutia flowers to observe, this year we had a very sunny spring here in Western Germany and therefore many, many flowers with the plants! I am privileged to see them every day in the greenhouse!
