Blēo

Blēo Blēo is a colour house. We operate at the intersection of surfaces, spaces and objects.

We collaborate with visionaries worldwide—in the overlapping fields of art, architecture, design, and fashion—on developing essential colours and textures.

A family home in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. Walls and ceilings painted in CE MA 01 Almost White by Cecilie Manz create a soft and consistent backdrop throughout the apartment, while doors and woodwork in CE MA 10 Shore add character and definition.

A home shaped by family life, books, collected objects and everyday life and rituals

More than a surface, the tiles become small architectural interventions. Muller Van Severen’s Curry zellige tiles transform a simple window ledge into a defining feature, bringing reflection, texture and personality to the home. Rather than being reserved for backsplashes or bathrooms, the tiles can be used to highlight overlooked details and introduce colour and materiality in unexpected places.

Handmade in Morocco using a 500-year-old zellige tradition, the tiles translate MULLER VAN SEVEREN signature colour palette into a richly textured surface that changes throughout the day.

At the home of creative director and freelance writer , where he lives with his family just outside Copenhagen

Thank you to everyone who visited our showroom last week and joined us in slowing down for a closer look at colour, finish and materiality. This year, we presented La Bottega Italiana, a collection of fourteen colours developed with Formafantasma, alongside a preview of the first upcoming tiles from the collaboration.

A slow exploration of colour, finish and materiality, and how these elements influence atmosphere, light and the experience of space

Tiles by Formafantasma - hand-brushed, tactile surfaces in Italian clay. Soon launching.

A tile collection that extends Formafantasma’s colour work for Blēo into a tactile architectural material. Rooted in research, Italian craft, local clay and the visual culture of everyday spaces in Italy, the collection explores how colour changes through glaze, texture, depth and shadow.
