Stop making critical art placement mistakes!
Have you ever looked at a fully furnished room and still felt like it’s empty?
The number one culprit is usually a small, isolated piece of art „floating” above a large sofa.
Interior design is rooted in the principles of balance. For a space to feel cohesive, your wall art needs to span roughly 2/3 the width of the furniture beneath it. This mirrors the classic Golden Ratio - establishing a visual composition for the eye to naturally rest on.
For this Warm Minimalism project near Copenhagen, we paired a bold, rust-toned Omhu sofa with stacked oversized prints. This gave the wall the architectural presence it deserved! ✨
🛠️ Quick Tip: Use painter’s tape to outline your target art frame size on the wall first. Step back and look at it from a distance to make sure it doesn’t get swallowed up by your sofa.
