Sadama 4, Estonia's first Hyatt hotel and Ankur office spaces, has reached full height, and the client, Estma, thanked the Merko construction team with a spring topping-out ceremony.
Six years ago, in the spring of 2018, the first developer of the property, Hausers, invited participants to an architectural competition to establish a coworking and living center at 4 Sadama Street in Tallinn. The forward-thinking idea was cut short by COVID.
Over the years, the project has undergone development, with the client, builder, and leading architectural firm changing over time. However, the idea and location seem robust enough to have withstood all the changes, and the core concept is being realized.
This journey has been colorful, but seeing the idea come to life makes the difficult moments quickly fade away, leaving respect for the entire team and valuable experience.
The international design team comprised about 40 people. Merko's professional team managed to skillfully stitch this patchwork together, and now the results are starting to show.
The opening of the Hyatt Place hotel is scheduled for fall 2025!
