It’s Tini season. BABA has some tips for you:
Stirred, not shaken, always. The dilution is different, the texture is different, the whole thing is different. Shaking bruises the gin. Now you know.
Vermouth is not the enemy. A bone-dry Martini is just cold gin in a pretty glass. A proper ratio, somewhere between 4:1 and 6:1, is what separates a drink from an experience.
The olive matters. One is a garnish. Three is a statement. Dirty is a personality type.
And then there’s the glass. It’s not decorative, it’s functional. The V-cone keeps it cold and lets the aromatics open up. The coupe is quieter, more intimate. The glass you choose says something about how you drink.
