Vassily Kandinsky et l’étonnant inventaire de son alphabet plastique 🔠
En s'inspirant d'écritures anciennes, de formes organiques ou de schémas scientifiques, Kandinsky propose ici un joyeux répertoire de miniatures abstraites. Dans ce damier irrégulier, celles-ci se détachent sur un fond noir ou blanc. Cette alternance de formes ludiques en positif et en négatif remet subtilement en perspective la distinction entre peinture et dessin.

Drawing inspiration from ancient scripts, organic forms, and scientific diagrams, Kandinsky presents here a joyful repertoire of abstract miniatures. In this irregular checkerboard, they stand out against either a black or white background. This alternation of playful forms in positive and negative subtly reconsiders the distinction between painting and drawing.
