Un dels punts clau de la reforma de Còrsega, ha estat repensar la planta per aprofitar millor l’espai i les relacions entre estances. Sovint partim de distribucions massa compartimentades i poc eficients, i el projecte busca precisament simplificar-les i fer-les més fluides. Reordenant els espais aconseguim continuïtats, més connexió i una manera d’habitar més clara i agradable.


One of the key aspects of the Còrsega renovation has been to rethink the layout in order to make better use of the space and improve the relationships between rooms. We often start from layouts that are overly compartmentalised and inefficient, and the project seeks precisely to simplify and open them up. By reorganising the spaces we achieve continuity, greater
connection and a clearer, more pleasant way of living.

A la reforma de Còrsega, el projecte neix de la voluntat de reinterpretar l’habitatge existent a partir dels seus propis recursos.

La nova distribució planteja una tipologia d’espais encadenats, on les estances es relacionen entre elles de forma fluida, flexible i contínua.

Paviments, textures, elements constructius i fragments originals s’han reutilitzat i incorporat a la nova proposta sempre que podien aportar valor, entenent la reforma com un exercici de transformació més que de substitució.

Un projecte que busca equilibrar memòria i contemporaneïtat a través de l’espai, la llum i la matèria.


In the Còrsega renovation, the project starts from the intention to reinterpret the existing dwelling through its own inherent qualities.

The new layout proposes a sequence of interconnected spaces, where rooms relate to one another in a fluid, flexible and continuous way.

Existing flooring, textures, construction elements and original fragments have been reused and integrated into the new proposal whenever they could bring value, understanding the renovation as an exercise in transformation rather than replacement.

A project that seeks to balance memory and contemporaneity through space, light and materiality.

Rehabilitació del Taller Masriera al carrer de Bailèn de Barcelona.

Nou equipament amb Biblioteca, Teatre i Espai veïnal a la dreta de l’Eixample.

Estem molt contents de poder treballar en un projecte tan especial i reclamat pel barri amb una proposta que aposta clarament per la sostenibilitat ambiental i social, la cultura i la revitalització del patrimoni de la ciutat.

New facility including a Library, a Theatre and a community center at “la deta de l’Eixample”.

We are very happy to be able to work on such a special project that is particularly demanded in the neighbourhood, with a proposal that is clearly committed to environmental and social sustainability, culture and the revitalisation of the city’s heritage.

La nostra proposta per ampliar la Biblioteca de Quart busca aconseguir les millors condicions per a aquest
ús gràcies a una implantació favorable dins de l’àmbit d’actuació.

Plantegem un nou volum ubicat on ara hi ha una esplanada per a aparcament de cotxes, rodejada d’arbres i més resguardada de la via rodada principal. La reubicació de la biblioteca existent permet intensificar la relació amb la vegetació del lloc i gaudir d’unes condicions de recolliment que no podríem aconseguir en la ubicació actual. A més, creiem que és important no col·lapsar de programa l’edifici existent, amb una demanda creixent d’espais per a altres usos públics i molt concorreguts.

Our proposal to extend the library in Quart seeks to achieve the best conditions for this use thanks to a more favourable placement within the area of action.

We propose a new volume located where there is now a car parking area, surrounded by trees and more
sheltered from the main road. The relocation of the existing library allows us to intensify the relationship with the vegetation of the site and to enjoy the conditions of retreat that we would not be able to achieve in the current location. Furthermore, we believe that it is important not to overload the existing building, with a growing demand for space for other public uses.

En els darrers mesos hem estat treballant en la rehabilitació d’un habitatge d’estil Noucentista a Argentona. Una obra molt singular amb una arquitectura original de gran qualitat i força ben conservada, però que necessitava una actualització funcional, estètica i energètica.

In the last few months we have been working on the refurbishment of a Noucentista style house in Argentona. A very special work with an original architecture of great quality and very well preserved, but which was in need of a functional, aesthetic and energetic upgrade.

La sala de l’Absis és l’espai que ha quedat darrere de l’actual sala municipal. El pas del temps l’ha deixat caure en l’oblit i s’ha acabat convertint en un magatzem de suport de la sala polivalent principal.

Com moltes construccions històriques, l’església actual és fruit de múltiples transformacions, reconstruccions i reutilitzacions. En origen, l’absis es va construir aprofitant la base d’una de les torres de defensa de l’antiga muralla del poble.

El projecte proposa rebaixar el nivell del terra actual fins a la cota de la plaça Josefina Gambús, cosa que permet un nou accés des d’aquesta i al mateix temps guanyar gairebé 4 m d’alçada interior. Això permet descobrir un espai d’unes noves proporcions que a més permetrà dignificar i contemplar l’absis i les diferents capes d’història que havien quedat ocultades i gairebé oblidades.


The Sala de l’Absis is the space behind the current municipal hall. With the course of time, it has fallen into disuse and has ended up becoming a support room for the main multi-purpose hall.

Like many historical constructions, the present church is the result of multiple transformations, reconstructions and reuses. Originally, the apse was built taking advantage of the base of one of the defence towers of the old town wall.

The project proposes to lower the current ground level to the level of the Josefina Gambús square, which allows a new access from there and at the same time to gain almost 4 m of interior height. This will allow us to discover a space of new proportions that will also help to dignify and contemplate the apse and the different layers of history that had been hidden and almost forgotten.

La materialitat vol emfatitzar la fluïdesa dels espais però, al mateix temps, marcar de forma subtil la seqüència de les diferents estances. S’aposta per una atmosfera càlida utilitzant un cromatisme de tonalitats suaus que conviu bé amb els materials nobles preservats.


The materiality wants to highlight the new fluid condition of the space and, at the same time, define the sequence of different rooms in a subtle way. A warm atmosphere is created by using a soft colour scheme which coexists well with the preserved noble materials.

La configuració proposada a la reforma de Copèrnic genera noves relacions visuals entre les estances, contribuint a percebre els espais més amplis i més connectats amb els seus exteriors. També es generen ventilacions creuades abans bloquejades per les nombroses particions interiors.

Treballem el projecte a partir de petits canvis, però que contribueixen a un millor funcionament de l’habitatge, repercutint en un estalvi energètic per il·luminar i climatitzar els espais. Mirem d’aconseguir molt amb poc.


The proposed configuration for the refurbishment of Copèrnic generates new visual relationships between the living spaces, helping to make the spaces feel larger and more connected to their exteriors. It also generates cross-ventilations previously blocked by the
numerous interior partitions.

We approached the project through small changes, but contributing to a better performance of the dwelling, resulting in energy savings in terms of lighting and climate control of the spaces. We are seeking to achieve more with less.
