Hotel Ayre.

Finding its inspiration in Gaudi’s maxim “originality is to be found in returning to the origin”, the proposal of Wortmann Architects was selected as the winning entry in a competition sponsored by a private promoter to create a four-star hotel near to Sagrada Familia.

With more than 100 years of experience, Still is a leading provider dedicated to offer smart solutions for intralogistics. For a company of these expanse the workflow of the employers is a very important point for the general work welfare and progress.

The new image the project gives, aims to reflect the values of the company in its commitment and innovation. So, the refurbishment for the new office interior is designed following the premises of the new working culture, creating an open office scheme, where is facilitated an easier collaboration between departments and a more inclusive working environment.

Semíramis houses.

The concept of the walled garden is, in the Arabic culture, a synonym for Paradise. Transferred to our times, living in an urban oasis is still an extremely attractive ideal.

It was a fascinating and intense job, along which we were accompanied by the landscape architect Manel Colominas. His art of creating gardens is known by its temporal dimension, by the constant metamorphosis it experiences all through the different seasons, which creates a powerful counterpoint to the statutory presence of what has been built.

Semíramis houses.

The rationalist language of the properties is softened by the vaulted roofs made of green patina copper, the teak wood panelling and a Venetian plastering. As time goes by, its dialogue with the trees and the Mediterranean Sea is more and more natural as well as fruitful; so much so that when the gate is crossed and we enter into the garden we perceive a cheerful and sonorous silence.

Semíramis houses.

The project of creating a habitat for parents and children of the same family in one single site gave us a rather unusual challenge. We instantly understood that the garden would have to be a key element of the project, as well as the term of creating every property according to the particular needs of its owner, matching the character of each person and their family. At the same time, the relationship between them had to be expressed in similar, yet not identical, features of each one of their three homes.

Yorka offices.

A 65 meters long gallery was built 5 meters from the existing blind façade. Careful attention to detail and the use of characteristic industrial materials such as cement blocks and prefabricated metal sheets enabled the creation of light without compromising the open workspace’s technological appearance and at the same time not exceeding the budget constraints.
