CV Sandy Brunner:
During her studies of architecture at ETH Zurich, Sandy Brunner gained professional experience at the office of architects Gwathmey Siegel & Associates in New York City and Pfister and Schiess Architekten in Zurich. She was then employed for two and a half years as a project manager at the architecture firm of Jakob
Steib, where she was engaged in the Kurfürst apartment block project, which received an architectural award from the City of Zurich in 2002. The year 2001 saw her join the team at architects EMBT Enric Miralles Benedetta Tagliabue in Barcelona, where she was involved for eighteen months in a variety of projects, including the interior design of the Scottish Parliament building. Sandy Brunner has worked in Barcelona as an independent architect since 2003, and has been involved, partly in cooperation with architects Bárbara Noguerol Diez and Estanislau Puig Durall, in several projects, mainly in the area of planning and execution for residential properties. She has also been involved since 2005 in a further two projects in the area of office interior design, planning and execution, in cooperation with Klaus Günter, for the sports marketing agency Weirather-Wenzel & Partners and for Red Bull. Apart from her activities as an architect, Sandy Brunner is the Spanish representative of AFIAA Investment AG, with registered office in Zurich. The AFIAA investment foundation offers Swiss pension funds long-term participation in a worldwide diversified portfolio of direct investments and fund shares in the area of real estate. Sandy Brunner represents the AFIAA in its acquisition of Spanish real-estate investments, carrying out such tasks as the evaluation of offers, while helping to carry out market analysis and risk evaluation for investments and maintaining contacts with local market-movers.
