For those of you in the UK - things look set to be tight for so many this winter, but can you donate a pair of PJs to this wonderful cause?

This year we will not be doing toys with the current situation 😢 we will be doing a pyjama and outfit appeal ❤️ we feel that children and teenagers will need to keep warm we collaborate with lots of toy charities so we can pass them on to them ❤️ last year was a huge success for pyjamas we was able to give all the children two pair one to wear one to wash over 4000 pair has been given out since last Christmas ❤️ this year if we add an outfit of leggings/joggers and long sleeved tops we will keep them warm ❤️ so please get your work mates together and let’s make a difference again ❤️ please share we are hoping to help more this Christmas ❤️

Things kids tend to say when you announce the need to thin the toys:​​​​​​​​

* I’M KEEPING EVERYTHING’​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
* ‘WHY DO YOU WANT TO THROW BUNNY AWAY?’ (Often accompanied by sobs)​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
* ‘I STILL PLAY WITH ALL OF THESE THINGS’​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
* ‘OH, IF SHE DOESN’T WANT IT I’LL HAVE IT’​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
* ‘BORING’​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
* ‘YEAH, THAT CAN GO’ (usually to your favourite toy, lovingly bought after much thought 😂)​​​​​​​​

3 tips to make it easier:​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
1. Declutter with your child/ren, not in their absence. Choose a time when tiredness/ hunger/ rage are not likely to strike (I know, I know, it’s an inexact science).​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
2. Introduce the topic well in advance. ‘Let’s choose a few toys on Saturday that you don’t enjoy so much anymore and we can donate to x’. Give your child a couple of options of what to do with them - pass on to a family in need, or a younger friend, or sell for piggy bank funds. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
3. Little and often is better than once a year before Christmas or birthdays. Prepare for the fact that sometimes they won’t want to let anything go, and try not to be frustrated with that. No worries, try again in 4 weeks. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​

My 'old' one was old indeed - a snapshot from a time where my business, daily life, even my location, looked pretty different to today. My blog was a poor, neglected creature, and I got more contact from bots than clients!

Last week was one of those strange ones where a lot's happening in the background but there's not a lot to see. A lot like this photo I snapped while walking one of our dogs in fact. ​​​​​​​​

Alongside my usual client sessions I've been putting the final touches to my *new* and *shiny* website which will be launching in the next two weeks. ​​​​​​​​

Why am I telling you this? ​​​​​​​​
a) to remind you that I'm still here​​​​​​​​
b) because I'll be *relaunching my blog (poor and neglected, it was) and opening my Priority List to people who are interested in what I do, but aren't quite ready to take the plunge and book a session*.
