What an absolute pleasure and honor it is to work on such beautiful houses here in the United States 🇺🇸. From my early days as an apprentice working in central London, who would have thought that I would take my profession to three different countries? Working in iconic roads such as Regent Street, Oxford Street, and the Strand, including Kings College, and working next to Roman Baths, essentially working for the Queen. Then onto southern Spain, specifically Costa del Sol, working on stunning villas perched on the top of mountainous regions with the Mediterranean Sea as the backdrop. And now, across the pond, in glorious areas such as Powell, Dublin, New Albany, Westerville, and the fabulous city of Columbus in general. Life as a painter, like this, watching the paint dry, never gets boring! 😍

Really enjoyed this particular project. The client had engaged a designer who recommended a feature piece in her living room. Although she was initially hesitant, she proceeded with the designer's suggestion. As a professional painter, I have always maintained a neutral stance in the decision-making process. Colors, sheen, and wallpaper choice are subjective and personal decisions that should ultimately be made by the homeowner. Nevertheless, I was pleased that the client felt confident in her decision, which was reflected in her extremely generous tip! I successfully brought the design to life, and the extra effort was well worth it.

This particular project required the removal of decking paint that had been incorrectly applied initially. It is crucial, especially for exterior projects, to ensure that applications are carried out under the correct conditions. The owner mentioned that the previous painters had completed the job during rainfall and had also painted in the rain. I consider this approach to be ill-advised, as deck painting should only be undertaken in optimal temperatures and never in the rain. I have had instances where I had to explain to clients that it was too cold to proceed. Oversaturated wood is not a suitable material for the application of deck coating materials, such as Super Deck, to adhere properly, thereby failing to provide clients with the expected results. Exterior painting should prioritize protection over aesthetics. Ultimately, the client expressed satisfaction with the finished product.
