The Mallorcan architecture studio DAA3 has been responsible for the design of three semi-detached minimalist style luxury houses in the coveted beach of Alcudia (Mallorca).
The sunscreen façade acts as a natural protection screen that reduces solar radiation and also allows to create soft temperature spaces inside the houses. The architect studio has taken care to the maximum of each detail of the project, both in the interior and the exterior, using the most advanced technology.

We are glad to announce a new project in Germany: Huber Integral Bau has decided to apply Flexbrick ceramic to cover the three facades of the Medius Klinik Kirchheim hospital car park in Kirchheim unter Teck, a small town near Stuttgart.

Medius Klinik Kirchheim is the First Flexbrick project in Germany. The ceramic textile Flexbrick applied to cover 3 facades of the building, using white, venecian and red Terracotta pieces.

Flexbrick has been applied in the façade of the Gajac Primary School in France. Its white Klinker bricks surround the whole building and create a new playground area. Architect studio BPM-Architectes wanted to improve the historical building with modernity, identity and a better environmental impact.

A revolution in ceramic architecture

The more than 5-year long research project, which has resulted in the new Flexbrick constructive system, is based on an idea from the architect and director of the Barcelona Ceramics Chair at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, PhD. Vicente Sarrablo, developed jointly by two benchmark companies in the Spanish construction industry: PieraEcocerámica and Cerámica Malpesa.

This new ceramic textile was devised following the concept of the textile architecture, and a flexible and adaptable material has been developed combining two long-life components: steel and ceramic.

As it became an industrialized system, Flexbrick speeds up the construction process significantly. Furthermore, it is easy to personalize its design and structure, adjusting them to the characteristicsand requirements of each project.

Since Vicente Sarrablo presented the idea to both Piera and Malpesa, a join venture process raised in order to realize thehuge potential of this new system, whichcould suppose a revolutionary change in theperception of architecture with ceramic materials.
