These objects can hold personal meaning so it's not about their monetary value. It's about the importance you give to them. That importance can be expressed in terms of their prominence in the space, how they will be experienced, displayed or used.

This process results in a home with personality, a style of your own.

Estos objetos pueden tener un significado personal, así que no se trata de su valor monetario. Se trata de la importancia que les das. Esa importancia puede expresarse en términos de su protagonismo en el espacio, de cómo serán experimentados, expuestos o utilizados.

El resultado de este proceso es un hogar con personalidad, un estilo propio.

A good home design in my mind needs to be based on a number of talking points, you, how you (and yours) want to live your life and what personal objects need to be accommodated for.

En mi opinión, un buen diseño de una casa debe basarse en una serie de puntos de discusión: tú, cómo quieres vivir tu vida (y la de los tuyos) y qué objetos personales deben tener cabida.

I think its not only a combination of both but also, you, how you want to use the space in order to give it a sense of place. That sense is subjective but can be experienced by others. But don't be too concerned about them... its your home.

Creo que no es sólo una combinación de ambos, sino también, tú, cómo quieres utilizar el espacio para darle un sentido de lugar. Esa sensación es subjetiva pero puede ser experimentada por otros. Pero no te preocupes demasiado por ellos... es tu casa.
