We’re delighted to welcome back Laura Carrillo, who has been with us at MIAD since the very first edition.

Laura leads the international projects department at Carrillo, the Madrid-based studio founded by her family and now run together with her sisters. Her work has taken her from luxury hotel suites to residential projects abroad, always carrying that same contemporary, personal style she’s known for. In the first edition of MIAD, she created a striking hotel suite with Ascale, and her projects at other fairs like Marbella Design have picked up recognitions too, including one for best fusion of art and interior design.

For Laura, trends come and go, but personality is what leaves a mark, and that philosophy shows in everything she designs.

Some spaces stay with you long after you’ve seen them. This was one of them.

En algún lugar de Valencia, created by for MIAD 2025, invited visitors to slow down, reflect and reconnect. Inspired by the resilience shown after the DANA in Valencia, the space transformed earth, brick, flowers and light into a story of hope, care and rebuilding.

A beautiful reminder that great design isn’t only about aesthetics. Sometimes, it’s about the stories it helps us tell.

HAMMAM by Antonio Calzado.

A space inspired by the essence of Andalusia, where handcrafted details, geometric patterns and warm materials come together to create a true refuge of calm.

One of those MIAD spaces that invited visitors to slow down, disconnect and simply enjoy the atmosphere.

ASPEN by for .madrid

Some spaces are designed to be seen. Others are designed to be experienced.

ASPEN was conceived as a contemporary retreat inspired by the mountain residences of Aspen, Colorado. Warm woods, natural stone, soft lighting and integrated technology came together to create an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and deeply comfortable.

Rather than placing technology at the center of the space, Altelier Studio made it part of the architecture itself, creating a home cinema experience where design, innovation and wellbeing coexist seamlessly.

Slowlife was more than a space. It was a state of mind.

Designed by .benavides for MIAD, this project invited visitors to slow down and reconnect with the pleasure of beautifully crafted interiors. Rich textures, noble materials and warm tones came together to create an atmosphere that felt both sophisticated and deeply comforting.

A reminder that good design is not only about how a space looks, but also about how it makes you feel.
