We are participating in a photographic competition about Architecture and Light, and we are asking for your votes by clicking the link and liking the photograph (the votes that count are the likes in the link, not this post!).

The photograph was taken in September 2016 in Ahmedabad, India and this is the description for it:

Ephemeral architectures are the expression of collective ideology and local culture. During the Hindu God Ganesh's birthday celebration, structures that will be used for gathering and worship are erected. Illuminated streets and motorized processions are also important for the ritual, which will culminate with the immersion in the river of the elephant-god's representation in mud. One can appreciate the festive atmosphere while the pilgrims are about to transfer the statue from the temporary construction that has housed it for 9 nights, to its final destination in the Sabarmati river.

La fotografía se tomó en Ahmedabad, India en Septiembre de 2016 y esta es la descripción:

Las arquitecturas efímeras son la expresión construida del ideario colectivo y la cultura local. Durante la celebración del nacimiento del dios hindú Ganesh, se erigen estructuras que se dedicarán a la reunión y el culto. Las calles iluminadas y las procesiones motorizadas son también parte importante del ritual, que culminará con la inmersión en el río de la representación en barro del dios-elefante. En la captura se aprecia la atmósfera festiva de los peregrinos, que se disponen a trasladar la estatua desde la construcción temporal que la ha alojado durante 9 noches, hasta su destino final en el río Sabarmati.
