Having not posted for a while, but a major change happening.
The huge 12ft tall hedge between me & neighbors at 18 has been reduced down to its base of a dwarf wall and will have 8ft of brick built on it.
Yes, it's disappointing to lose the hedge, the Bougainvillea, Jasmine, ivy, etc but maintaining it at least 4 times a year was a mammoth job and I could never reach the top with my ladder to square it off.
So end of an era for the hedge!
Once settled, I will add wall plants, creepers & eventually some solar lighting. 😁

Apart from the unwelcome cats that visit my garden, I do get some beautiful creatures that like to rest or grab a bite to eat. This stunning and also huge butterfly topped up with some well earned nectar. With the 2nd shot, he (or she) opened their wings at just the right moment.☺️

Say hello to 15 new plants from the Garden Centre in Secadero which I found open on Wednesday. Been waiting to do something special in the garden since lockdown. Now a good watering for all the new arrivals plus a few for the knackered gardener! 🍾🍾

Although I encourage natural growth and shape, my Rosemary bush I robbed from the campo five years ago has decided to go his own way, out and up! So my first creation with my new hedge cutters! Lamb for dinner!
