Happy Halloween — especially to everyone celebrating away from home. Like us. 🎃

Pumpkins beside palm trees. Witches wandering past whitewashed walls. Halloween on the Costa del Sol comes with a Mediterranean twist: the setting is coastal, the costumes are familiar — and the celebrations sit right next to a very different Spanish tradition the following morning.

On 1 November, Spain marks Día de Todos los Santos. Families visit cemeteries, leave flowers, remember. The bakeries change too: buñuelos de viento, huesos de santo, roasted chestnuts.

On Saturday, 17 October 2026, the SolidMaint team joined Aurinkorannikon Syysmessut at Plaza de Toros in Fuengirola. Organised by Olé-lehti, the fair brought the Nordic community on the Costa del Sol together for a day of conversations, connections and ideas for life in Spain.
