December is already a lot, so the fact that my brain has suddenly decided to notice every bit of clutter in the house feels mildly rude. But here we are. End of the cycle, end of the Snake year, and apparently the perfect time for our minds to go, “Maybe let’s not carry all this into the next chapter.”

You do not need to reorganize your whole home. Just follow those tiny moments where something finally catches your attention. That is enough right now.

The new blog breaks down why this happens and how to work with it without adding more to your plate.

A Natural Turning Point ✹

Some spaces hold more than stuff.
They hold decisions you’ve been putting off.
Stories you’re not quite ready to revisit.
Energy that lingers every time you walk by.

We all have them.
That drawer. That closet. That one box from three moves ago.
The space you keep meaning to deal with
 but never quite do.

Today, you don’t have to finish it.
You just have to begin.

Because avoiding it doesn’t make it go away - it just makes it louder.

Here’s your five-step start:
1. Name the space you’ve been avoiding - and why
2. Clear a small section (just one drawer, one corner, one pile)
3. Notice the emotion - what comes up when you open it?
4. Decide on a few things to let go, and give yourself permission to pause
5. Set a date to come back to it - progress is allowed to happen in layers

You don’t need to conquer the whole space today.
You just need to show up for it, and for yourself.

This is the real work.
Not the pretty after photo, but the quiet shift that happens when you stop walking past what’s been asking for your attention.

What space are you finally ready to face? —

The Power of Pause (Your Space Needs It Too)

Not everything needs to be cleared.
Not everything needs to be used.
Not everything needs a label or a purpose or a plan.

Some things are meant to rest.
And so are you.

Your home doesn’t always need another solution.
Sometimes it just needs less noise.
Less adjusting. Less fixing. Less “what else can I do?”

The pause isn’t empty.
It’s a decision. A boundary. A quiet knowing that not every corner of your life needs to be productive.

Choose one spot this week.
Don’t organize it. Don’t tidy it. Don’t touch it.

Let it be.
Let yourself be.

And notice what softens in the stillness.

There’s a certain kind of clutter that doesn’t pile up on the floor, but it still gets in your way. It’s hiding in your devices, buried in drawers, tangled in cords you swore you'd sort later.

Tech clutter is quiet, until it’s not.
Until your phone won’t take a photo because your storage is full.
Until your laptop sounds like a jet engine.
Until you scroll past 43 versions of the same screenshot trying to find one that actually matters.

It’s not just annoying, it’s draining.
You waste time looking.
You lose focus.
You pay for more storage just to hold onto things you didn’t even remember saving.
And the longer it sits, the heavier it starts to feel - like a silent to-do list just lurking in the background.

Here’s how to start-
đŸ§č Clear out the physical stuff: cables, accessories, mystery remotes
đŸ—‘ïž Delete the digital clutter: apps, files, duplicates, downloads
📁 Create simple folders that you’ll actually use
🔧 Fix or ditch anything broken
📆 Add a monthly reminder so this doesn’t spiral again in three weeks

Your devices should make life easier - not more expensive, more frustrating, or more chaotic.

Tech clutter might seem invisible, but your brain still feels it.
So clear a little space. Make things easier to find.
And finally stop paying to store screenshots of things you no longer need.

Today is our wedding anniversary.
And I wanted to share something honest.

Living (and trying to organize) with someone whose brain is wired completely differently than mine has been
 a journey.
A beautiful one. A maddening one.
A “why is this drawer full of mystery cables and old receipts?” kind of one.

For a long time, I took my husband’s strategic ignoring of messes very personally. I assumed it meant he didn’t care. That the undone things were a choice.
Turns out, they weren’t.
They just
weren’t on his radar at all.

We have opposite organizing styles, opposite definitions of “tidy,” opposite speeds and opposite responses to visual clutter.
If opposites attract, they also test your patience, your communication skills, and your ability to walk past something triggering without muttering under your breath.

But here’s what we’ve learned:
To live together, we had to grow together.
We had to unlearn old habits, question assumptions and actually talk (like, with words) about what matters to each of us.

What’s worth the friction.
What’s ok to let slide.
How to not turn a sock on the floor into a symbol of emotional betrayal.

We’ve had to evolve and so has our space.
Because love isn’t about agreeing on how to load the dishwasher.
It’s about making room (literal and emotional) for each other’s differences.

Here’s to the beautifully imperfect, deeply human, sometimes messy work of sharing a life and a home that actually looks lived in. đŸ€âœš

Happy anniversary. You and me, baby.

Clutter doesn’t just sit there, it speaks.
It nags, distracts, overwhelms.

And not all of it is obvious. Some things hide in plain sight, taking up space and energy without giving much back.

If it’s not helping, supporting, or simplifying your life
maybe it’s time to let it go.

A quieter space = a clearer mind.

Summer Clutter Check-In 🍉

Summer’s a whirlwind, right? Between parties, weddings, getaways, staycations, sports, kids home, and garden maintenance, stuff just kind of piles up everywhere. Things get left out, gear gets scattered - it happens. Maybe take a quick peek around and figure out how you want to keep your space feeling balanced and light for the rest of summer.

There’s a drawer in your kitchen that knows too much 🍮

About your past ambitions
Your late-night impulse purchases
Your “maybe I’ll be a person who pickles” era

Today, we’re opening that drawer and facing the truth.
Because when tools go unused, it’s not always laziness.

Sometimes it’s the cleaning
Sometimes it never really fit your cooking style
Sometimes
you just have four of the same thing and only use one

Here’s your five-step refresh:
Empty the whole drawer
🔍 Toss the duplicates, the awkward gadgets and the stuff you avoid using
🔧 If it’s broken, fix it this week - or let it go
đŸ§Œ Group similar tools together where they’re easy to grab
📩 Rarely-used items? Label a separate bin and store them out of the way

You don’t need tools that guilt-trip you.
You need a drawer that lets dinner come together, without digging through five tools just to find the one you actually use.

List the weirdest thing you found đŸ‘€â€”

What Are You Really Preparing For?

“Just in case” can feel responsible, smart, even generous. But sometimes, it’s just another way we try to brace for the worst.

An outfit that doesn’t fit, but might. A gadget that hasn’t been used in years, but could. A duplicate, backup, or broken thing that stays - just in case.

But here’s a question worth asking:
🌀 Are you holding onto items for a version of life you’ve already outgrown?

This isn’t about chasing less for the sake of it.
It’s about building trust - in your ability to respond, adapt and live without the clutter of worry.

Trust that when life throws something unexpected your way, you’ll figure it out.
Trust that your home can reflect the life you’re in - not the one you’ve already moved on from.
Trust that you’re capable of living without a “what if” in every drawer.

You don’t have to ditch it all today. But you can start checking in.

What’s one “just in case” item you’re holding on to?

Day 4: The Closet Cleanout (But Make It Manageable)

Today’s not about overhauling your entire wardrobe - it’s about getting honest with a few things taking up space (physically & mentally).

Start with just 5 items you haven’t worn in a while. Then ask yourself:
✹ Does it fit me now?
✹ Do I feel like myself in it?
✹ Do I like the way I feel in it?
✹ Am I actually going to wear it this season?

And if you're feeling stuck, go a little deeper:
🌀 Am I holding onto this because it reminds me of a version of myself that no longer exists?
🌀 Am I emotionally tied to who gave it to me - or who it reminds me of?
🌀 Am I afraid of feeling guilty if I let it go?

You’re allowed to evolve. And so is your wardrobe.

Letting go doesn’t have to mean waste. Consider reselling a few pieces on preloved platforms and giving them a second life. That money could go toward something that fits you better - literally and emotionally.

Still not ready to decide? No problem:
👚 Turn the hanger around
📅 Set a decision date in your calendar
👖 Try it on (not just hold it - nostalgia fades when the fit isn't right)
✹ Add a small sticker or tag as a visual reminder
Small edits add up. The goal isn’t a perfect closet - it’s one that works for you.

What’s one thing you’re finally ready to let go of, or at least ready to question? Drop it below - we’re in this together.

Your entryway is the gateway to your home - and your mindset. If it’s cluttered, it’s like dragging baggage before you even step inside.

Getting real:
đŸ„ż Are those shoes stacking up like a mini mountain?
👜 Bags and mail taking over like they own the place?
đŸ§„ Coats hanging around you never actually wear?

Here’s the deal: your entryway should be a launchpad for your day, not a speed bump.
This challenge is about clearing the clutter that’s crowding your space so you can create room for calm, flow, and fresh starts every time you walk through the door.

Think about:
>What can you donate, recycle, or move somewhere it actually belongs?
>What can you stash in a drop zone that’s easy to keep tidy?
>How can you make this space feel like a genuine “welcome home,” not a “what’s this mess?” moment?

Own this space. Own your energy.

What’s the first thing you see when you walk through your door? Drop it in the comments.
