Logo design for .
World of architecture, a Chanel that "Looks around the world with the eyes of Architecture."
I have used 6 colors, red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Black and white, this is because Every single flag in the world contains atleast one of these colors, symbolizing Unity and Inclusion.
And cube to show where we start from.
Meaning, in school we even start from a unit house, a rectangular or square form, i wanted to show that 90ยฐ.
Then as we progress we try and leave that 90ยฐ.
Hope you like it!

แˆ…แŠ•แƒ แАแ‹ณแŠ แ‹ณแ‹Šแ‰ต แ‰ แŠ•แ‰ฒ

Dawit Benti was born and raised in Addis Abeba. In 1987, Dawit got his first degree in Architecture and urban planning From Addis Abeba University. Then in 1994, Dawit got his master degree from indian institute of technology. He is now studying his phd at Eiabc.
Dawit has also Taught for 10 years at Adama university, and also 2 years in Switzerland.
From 2001 till the present he is a lecturer at Eiabc.

Architect dawit benti is the founder and moderator of Ethiopian Architecture and Urbanism, A facebook group in which people can discuss local architectural topics.but to be honest its not just a group for discussions its where people can find different files which you probably can't find online.
Its through this various discussions that we have found the answers to topics that we thought we'll never find the answers to. For example thanks to this Facebook group we now know the architect of Bedlu building is Henry Chomette. And various more topics like this.
Dawit didn't stop there he also founded and still moderates another facebook group called.African architecture and urbanism. Where there are various architects, architecture students and architecture enthusiasts from the african continent.

I've brought up this topic today because at the urban center Architect Dawit Benti led a great panel discussion tittled ''The Built World in Social Media."
In which he presented about how social media is having a very big impact on the built environment, to sum this up quickly we can clearly see how social media had an impact on the kidane beyene building.

I've summed that up so i can bring another topic that Dawit Benti brought up yesterday.
Architect Dawit Benti shared his philosophy on why Ethiopia Architecture isn't getting the respect it deserves or why the Architecture profession comes second to none when compared to other professions.

Dawit says one of the reason that Ethiopian architecture hasn't really grown is because we don't use our native language inside the profession.
Like how many of us know the the translation of Architect in Amharic?

So as long as we use english words in our profession, the broader people of Ethiopia won't really understand us.

So insted of saying architecture say แˆตแА-แˆ…แŠ•แƒ
insted of saying i'm an architecture students say แ‹จแˆตแА-แˆ…แŠ•แƒ แ‰ฐแˆ›แˆช แАแŠ
Insted of saying i'm an Architect say แˆ…แŠ•แƒ แАแ‹ณแŠ แАแŠ
So Dawit went on explaining or translating the profession's words like rendering, elevation, floorplan... and so on. He said he has a file on all the translated words to amharic.(i find it and i'll post it)

So as a conclusion i would like to say that its really great to see our Architects philosophizing because Architecture is Art + Science, and in this country we mostly focus on the art part.
We know the philosophies of other star architects like Bjarke ingles, zaha hadid, Daniel lebskind and more but we haven't really gotten the chance to hear from our own Architects. And i think its really nice they're taking a leap in that.
Imagine hearing Zeleke belay's Philosophy or Rahel shawl's or yoseph berdeden's and many more.

And on that note i would like to end todays post, i hope u've had a good read, and i promise to share our architects philosophy on future posts. And starting from now on i would like all of us to start referring to the amharic terms.

Two weeks from now is may 17, which is the first anniversary of ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Can u belive it its been s whole year, since i created this channel.
To this day i find it funny that my sister was the one who motivated me to create this channel, the funniest thing is that she's not even in the slightest interested in architecture.

I remember it like it was yesterday, she told me a story 'bout Nas daily. If u don't know him, Nas daily is a youtuber, he uploads daily one minute videos, what stikes me most 'bout him is that he has calaculated his average life maletim bezi endeye emotalw blo yasbal. The average american life span is 76.3 yrs old so he calculated his with percentage and say's im this percent old and wears a t shirt by that, so he basically calculated his life with percentages ena everything he does is also calculated, so in other word he won't spend his time on thing he doesn't enjoy or love. Cause that s waste of life i'll share his video explaining it.

Bcha back to my point, that really hit me when she told me, ena right then i said manmn sw impact saladerg almotm. At least and sw lay impact mefter alebign alkuhn. And came this channel, i remember i had 33 subscribers and all of them added from my contacts๐Ÿ˜‚ but slowly and surely it grew, ena now 325 dersenal๐Ÿ˜Š ena i wanna say I love all of u ena i started getting feedbacks from sm users, they said thankyou for posting this mnamn ena eachone of the feedback i absolutely adored ena thus helped me with my life goal.
Sm one once asked me what's ur biggest life accomplishment? I didn't say anything then gin if u ask me now i would say this channel๐Ÿ˜Š cause it helped me make my impact!

Bcha emotional story over comin' to the good news le anniversaryw betliku lakebir nbr gin yaw corona mibal besh*ta meta ena yaw abelashw so be online kemadreg tegedjalw๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

So in the coming two weeks from now i'll have a competition. And i'll award mobile cards
So pls stay tuned

Join world of architecture on telegram

I'm trying to expand to more social medias nd it will happen through time!

so in the end i'll again like to say thank you to all 325 of u and special thank you goes to the people that were from the beginning
