It’s a rare and meaningful opportunity for our team to all be together in person, as most of our design and architecture work happens remotely across the globe.

A few weeks ago, while was in Ethiopia, our team gathered for a staff retreat day filled with reflection, celebration, great food, games, and time together on the lake.

As architects and designers, we spend much of our time collaborating across distances — shaping projects and designing spaces that serve communities around the world. This retreat was a chance to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments, strengthen relationships within our team, and invest in the people behind the work.

We’re incredibly thankful for this talented team and the meaningful work we get to do together through Conduit Collaborative.

What a joy it was to see the new kitchen facility for Raey School in Addis Ababa nearing completion during ’s recent visit to Ethiopia.

This Conduit Impact Project is in the final stages of construction and interior fit-out, preparing to serve two meals a day to more than 360 students who attend Raey School.

The new kitchen is a major upgrade from the previous facility, which relied heavily on charcoal cooking with little to no ventilation — creating an unhealthy environment for the women faithfully preparing meals each day.

This new space will be a tremendous gift to the school, providing a safer, healthier, and more efficient environment to serve students for years to come.

A few weeks ago, the Conduit team was on the ground in Kaffa, Ethiopia, working on an Impact Project for Vision School.

More than 300 students have been sharing a single tin-roof pit latrine in desperate need of repair. In response, our team designed a new bathroom facility that will provide a safe, sanitary, and dignified space for the students and school community.

Our team stepped directly into the construction process — helping move the project forward as foundations were completed and walls began to rise for the new facility.

This project not only creates a meaningful impact but also gives our team valuable hands-on experience that strengthens the way we design and build every day.

We’re incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside this community and can’t wait to see the completed building bless Vision School for years to come.

Vision School - Keffa, Ethiopia: Day 1 Recap

Today some of the Conduit team traveled the Keffa region of Ethiopia to help build some parts of the new bathroom building we designed for Vision School; A school that serves 400 students per week from K-8th grade. (Picture #4 is a rendering of what the finished project will look like). We took a car, plane, second car, mini bus and Tuk Tuk to get there! It was quite the journey but 100% worth it.

Follow along this weekend to see this beautiful and important building take shape.

April 2026 - Kenya/Ethiopia Trip Update!!!

We are so thankful Chris has the opportunity to be in Kenya and Ethiopia the next 10 days! Follow along to keep up with what he and the team will be up to!

Day one of the trip started in Narobi visiting with a ministry called Untold ( ) that serves people with HIV/AIDS across several countries in Africa. They are an amazing ministry! Please give them a follow to learn more about their incredible life-changing work.

Chris was able to tour one of their centers, meet some of the staff, and visit two of their program’s beneficiaries in their homes. He also had the opportunity to see the site where untold is beginning construction on phase one of their new headquarters.

It’s always great to meet new organizations that are doing amazing Kingdom work around the world.

In just a few weeks, our team will be together on the ground in Kaffa, Ethiopia—working side by side to bring a new Impact Project to life.

Vision School urgently needs a safe, sanitary bathroom facility. We’re replacing an existing pit latrine structure with a thoughtfully designed, durable space that reflects dignity, value, and will have a long-term impact.

This is more than a build—it’s an investment. Together with our partners and Vision School, we’re sponsoring this Impact Project through both design and funding.

Construction is already underway: the old structure has been removed, and foundation work has begun. We can’t wait to share progress as this new facility takes shape.

We're excited to share that construction has begun on a new Impact Project in Embu, Kenya!

We've been partnering with Family Worship Church to design a permanent church home—transforming their small, informal tin-roof structure (visible in the background of the first image) into a beautiful new facility that will triple their capacity to serve their community.

This new space will allow the congregation to gather, worship, and serve in a building that reflects their God-given worth and creates an inspiring place for their community to grow together.

We’re honored to support their vision and excited to see this project take shape.

We’re excited to share that the YouthPromise Centre is nearing completion! ✨

It’s been a privilege to walk alongside YouthPromise Kenya to help envision and design a campus that will serve youth in rural communities through digital literacy and life-changing support.

The new centre will include space for computer training programs, women’s empowerment initiatives, classrooms, faith-based mentorship/guidance services, staff offices, and a cyber co-working hub for the community. 💻

We can’t wait to see the impact this space will have for generations to come.

Outside the studio, you’ll find her reading and discussing theology and biblical history.

We’re grateful to have her perspective, heart, and expertise on the Conduit team. Welcome, Jordon!

Big things are happening at School in Addis Ababa!

Every day, the school serves two warm, nourishing meals to its students—but the current kitchen is small, relies on charcoal, and has no ventilation, making it tough and unhealthy for the amazing women who cook as they breathe in smoke.

That’s why we’re thrilled to break ground on a brand new kitchen building at Raey! 🙌 With high ceilings, louvered windows, a chimney system, better storage, and plenty of daylight, it will be a safer, cleaner, and more sustainable space for years to come.

This Impact Project will boost meal capacity, improve working conditions, and create a brighter future for students and staff alike.
