It’s that time of year when Tavola trees (Polynesian or Sea Almond) start to lose their leaves, typically during the cooler, drier winter months in Fiji (June, July, and August). Before dropping, the leaves usually turn vibrant shades of pink, red, and yellow-brown. It’s doesn’t last long though, with fresh bright green shoots emerging soon after.
