This is one of our dark iris flowers, called Study in Black, it’s dark violet colour really contrasts with all the grey greens of the leaves around it.

This is Blackbeard and it’s proving to be a big seller this year, understandable when you see those lovely colours together.

This is Imperative. An intermediate iris first introduced by Paul Black in 1997. It measures 51 cms in height and will look stunning in any setting with its dark purple colours and the contrasting deep orange beards.

Petit Tigre, not quite so petit at 65 cms high. Introduced by the famous Cayeux family in 2006, the colours are quite interesting especially on the standards, and the scent is lovely too.

Everything is looking lovely in the garden here at the iris farm, apart from the cooler than usual weather and the constant rain showers. Could be in the UK.

So here we go again, it’s iris time. This one is called ‘Cherry garden’ and is a dwarf, measuring up to 38 cms in height. It’s always one of the first iris to flower here on the farm. Available from beziersplants.com.
